NEW BIOMASS CONTROLS FROM WINDHAGER AT ECOBUILD 2016

23 Feb 2016

At this year’s Ecobuild, Windhager UK will be focusing on new developments of its controls for its leading range of biomass boilers.

Smart controls are being added with touch screens to the latest BioWIN 2 and LogWIN Premium biomass boilers.  Windhager will also be introducing its new MES Infinity, a modular energy system which continually co-ordinates all sources of heat such as the boiler, solar system and buffer tank for optimum operation, performance and output.

Complementing these systems and available on all Windhager boilers with MES Plus controls is Windhager’s myComfort app.  This is a remote heating control mobile app which allows users to quickly guide their individual heating system every day from any smart phone or tablet at home or when out and about.

Windhager’s successful and popular BioWIN 2 will feature prominently on the stand.  This compact wood pellet boiler has enjoyed enormous success since the advent of the domestic RHI scheme. Providing comfortable heating to all homes, the BioWIN 2 is the smallest, most efficient and durable range of biomass pellet boilers it its class. Taking less than 1.5sq.m. space this appliance can be installed into an alcove with only minimal clearances (3mm are required) and all cleaning and servicing is achieved from the front.  Available in either manual or auto feed options, the BioWIN 2 is available in five models with outputs in the range of 3kW to 26kW.  Built to high engineering standards, the new boiler generates very little ash, collected in a removable ash box which generally needs emptying only once a year.

Also on the stand will be the recently launched Windhager DuoWIN using hybrid technology to combine heating with wood and pellets in one unit.  Available in four models from 33kW to 56kW output, the DuoWIN has a filling volume of 145 litres for 50cm split logs and 164 litres of wood pellets, feed for which can either be manual or fully automatic.

Other biomass boilers on show will be the BioWIN Excel designed for larger heating applications such as schools and commercial premises; LogWIN Premium, an exceptionally economic method of supplying heating using split logs; and FireWIN, an attractive wood pellet boiler for the living area with full automation for heating and hot water.

Windhager will also be promoting at Ecobuild its latest scheme for installers – WIN, the Windhager installer network.  Installers undertaking training at Windhager under the scheme will benefit from being able to offer extended 7 year warranties on all Windhager biomass boilers.
