NEW PARTNERSHIPS BRINGS MORE WILDLIFE WORLD PRODUCTS TO THE US

Wildlife World, Europe’s leading creators of artisan wildlife habitats and products for birds, bees and other popular garden species has expanded its product range in the US, having recently partnered with two more popular home and lifestyle department stores.

The company, based in Gloucestershire in the UK, is now working with Hammacher Schlemmer and Gardener’s Supply to offer some of its best-selling products to US homeowners. Wildlife World’s Solitary Beehive, Robin Teapot Nester, Ceramic Bumblebee Nester and Urban Birdhouse and Urban Bee and Insect Nester can now be purchased from one of the two stores across all US states.

Norman Sellers, Managing Director of Wildlife World commented, “Over the past couple of years we have worked closely with distributors in the US to offer many of our beneficial habitats and products to the garden and wildlife markets. We are honoured to have had the opportunity to work with some great companies and we are very pleased that this now extends to include Hammacher Schlemmer and Gardener’s Supply. Both are great stores and we are sure that they will help raise awareness of our products and the impact they have on the survival of wildlife species.”

Hammacher Schlemmer, one of America’s longest running home and lifestyle online department stores, is now a seller of Wildlife World’s successful Solitary Beehive, a particular favourite in the UK and Europe, and a crucial accessory to the survival of the beneficial species. The small wooden habitat is very attractive and suitable for both rural and urban gardens that are regularly visited by solitary bees. Specially designed to reflect the natural nesting habits of the species, the beehive will encourage more species to settle in the gardens and allow them to carry out their vital pollination activities. Solitary bees are a harmless species and are safe to nest in family gardens or be around young children. The product will feature in Hammacher Schlemmer’s ‘Outdoor Living’ range of products, which includes a wide selection of products for birds and pets, as well as attractive furniture and accessories.

Gardener’s Supply is another major online retailer and now also stocks some of Wildlife World’s greatest products including innovative habitats for birds, bees and other beneficial garden insects. Wildlife World’s Robin Teapot Nester is one of the latest products to be stocked by the online store, having proved particularly popular in the UK and Europe. This nest box is especially designed for small birds such as robins which prefer open-fronted habitats. The teapot nester is made from frost-resistant ceramic and can therefore be left mounted outside all year round.

Wildlife World’s Ceramic Bumblebee Nester is now also available from Gardener’s Supply for gardeners that are particularly passionate about the conservation of bumblebees. The nester is based on the design of a traditional bee skep and is made from hi-fired glazed ceramic, which also makes it a perfect garden addition all year round. Small mammals such as voles and shrews are also attracted to this nester.

Gardener’s Supply also stocks two of Wildlife World’s Urban products, the Bird House and Bee and Insect Nester, to offer a less traditional range of habitats. This particular range was designed by Wildlife World to reflect modern living and can be used in urban areas where natural habitats are harder to find. The Urban Bird House provides a nesting habitat for small birds, whilst the Bee and Insect Nester offers a safe haven to solitary bees, lacewings, ladybirds and other beneficial garden insects.

Wildlife World is very committed to ensuring that all of its products are the most fully beneficial to all wildlife species through extensive research and testing before they are released to the market. The company also ensures that each habitat is not harmful in any way and uses only sustainable materials, such as FSC certified timber, recycled plastic and non-toxic, water-based paints and sealants, to create its products.
