SENTINEL’S CYCLIST SAFETY SYSTEM PROVING POPULAR WITH LONDON OPERATORS

24 Mar 2015

Sentinel Systems has recently secured two more orders for its award winning Bike Hotspot System with several systems being supplied to Boughton Engineering and hire company Firow Ltd.

As companies with customers in the London area, both Boughton and Firow Ltd have optimised the use of their vehicles by installing the Bike Hotspot system as it complies with the requirements of Crossrail, whereby all contracted vehicles must be fitted with safety equipment to alert drivers of nearby cyclists.

David Paulson, Managing Director at Sentinel Systems commented, “It is great to see that companies such as Boughton and Firow Ltd are now fitting systems which ensure cyclist safety and we are delighted that we have been able to supply an effective and practical solution that complies with their needs.”

Firow Ltd, a leader in supplying contract hire and spot rental municipal vehicles, has expanded its operations in London and has fitted several new vehicles working in this area with Sentinel’s Bike Hotspot system, as well as Sentinel’s reversing and side-view cameras for additional safety.

Boughton Engineering, a vehicle body-building company that specialises in skip loaders and hook loaders also has customers in the London area and has equipped many of its vehicles with the cyclist safety system and additional reversing aid cameras and 7” in-cab monitors.

A demonstration of the Bike Hotspot can be seen on Sentinel Systems’ YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvqnBOw92OY.
